About Brittany

Hi, I’m Brittany!

I’m a licensed professional counselor, a wife, a mom, and the founder of Sound Mind Solutions.

Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of working with many individuals and couples who feel overwhelmed by their thoughts, discouraged in their relationships, or simply unsure how to move forward through a difficult season of life.

What I’ve come to realize is that most people aren’t lacking the desire to change. Often, they just need clear guidance, practical tools, and a safe place to slow down and sort through what’s really going on.

That’s the heart behind Sound Mind Solutions.

My Approach

My work brings together practical mental health tools, relationship insight, and faith-centered wisdom to help people strengthen their thinking, protect their peace, and build healthier relationships.

Instead of leaving people feeling stuck in open-ended conversations, I often guide individuals and couples through focused, structured experiences that help them slow down, gain clarity, and begin creating healthier patterns in their lives and relationships.

Through these guided programs, we focus on things like:

• strengthening your mindset
• improving communication and connection
• building healthy emotional boundaries
• moving forward with greater clarity and peace

Why “Sound Mind”?

The name Sound Mind Solutions comes from a verse that has always meant a lot to me, 2 Timothy 1:7:

“For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind.”

So many people today find themselves caught in cycles of anxiety, overthinking, conflict, or emotional exhaustion. My heart in this work is to help individuals and couples step out of those patterns and begin building lives marked by greater clarity, wisdom, and steadiness.

A Little About My Life

Outside of counseling, I’m a wife and mom, which means I understand firsthand how real life can feel full, messy, and sometimes overwhelming.

Those experiences have only deepened my passion for helping people learn practical ways to care for their minds and strengthen their relationships.

Through counseling, guided programs, and practical tools, my hope is to help individuals and couples slow down, gain clarity, and move forward with greater peace and confidence.

Ways We Can Work Together

One-on-One Counseling

A place to sort through what’s been weighing on you

Life can feel heavy sometimes. Whether it’s anxiety, overthinking, relationship stress, or just that sense that something isn’t quite right but you can’t fully name it.

These sessions are a space where you don’t have to have it all together.

We’ll take time to get beneath the surface and understand what’s really going on. Together, we’ll look at thought patterns, emotional triggers, and habits that may be keeping you stuck, and begin building healthier ways forward that actually fit your day-to-day life.

I’m going to be honest with you, while also sitting with you in it. No pressure. No judgment.

Faith can be an important part of this process. If that’s something you’re open to, we’ll incorporate it as a steady foundation—learning how to quiet the noise, renew your mind, and stay grounded in truth, even when life feels overwhelming.

You don’t have to carry everything on your own.

Structured counseling experiences designed to help you find clarity, strengthen your mind, and move forward with wisdom and peace.

Couples & Premarital Counseling

Getting back on the same page

Relationships can be really good, and still feel hard.

Whether you’re engaged or already married, these sessions are designed to help you communicate more effectively, understand each other more clearly, and work through the patterns that keep coming up.

We’ll walk through conflict, communication, expectations, and the underlying dynamics that often go unspoken but impact everything. Not to place blame, but to understand what’s really happening beneath the surface.

My goal is to help both of you feel heard while also learning how to show up for each other in a healthier, more consistent way.

For premarital couples, we’ll focus on building a strong foundation. Having honest conversations about values, expectations, and giving you tools you’ll actually use once real life sets in.

Faith can also be a steady foundation in this process. We can anchor your relationship in truth, learning how to extend grace, communicate with intention, and build something that isn’t dependent on feelings alone.

Strong relationships don’t just happen, but they can be built with the right tools and intentional effort.
